No One Wanted This Pit Bull Because He Was “Ugly” But One Woman Thought Differently

It’s often hard for a puppy to find a home if they don’t fit some silly standard look or breed, and one little pit bull puppy in North Carolina recently learned this the hard way.

When this pup arrived on the steps of a high-kill shelter, volunteers knew there wasn’t much hope for the poor guy to be adopted.

This little fella was dropped off on the steps of a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. It seemed no one wanted him because he had a few “flaws.”

The pit bull puppy was born with a half-formed right ear and was blind in his left eye. Because of this, he was singled out from his siblings and left at the shelter.

Nicole Horabik, who works for North Carolina’s Cause for Paws, saw the puppy’s ad online and knew she had to rescue him.

She went to the shelter and brought the eight-week-old puppy home with her.

She named him Captain Morgan and posted this photo on her Facebook page.

Nicole made it her priority to show everyone that “perfect” is overrated. “Cap,” as he’s called, is a great dog no matter what “flaws” he might have.

And now he’s a healthy and growing boy!

He fits right in with the whole family!

All because someone saw what others didn’t and gave him a shot.

He may not look exactly like your average dog, but Cap is so precious!

Thanks for giving him a home, Nicole!
