You’ll LOVE What This High School Running Team Did For Some Lonely Shelter Dogs!

At St. Joseph High School, their athletic department’s cross country running team has gone to the dogs, literally! Recently the California school kids went to their local animal shelter and took the dogs out for an early morning jog! Everyone involved had a blast!
The pups from the Santa Barbara County Animal Shelter were matched up with their very own teen and enjoyed a short run and a little fresh air.

I am not sure who was more excited and having the most fun…the dogs or the kids, said the team coach, Luis Escobar on his Facebook page. While one small dog named Fred didn’t exactly seem too thrilled with all that exercise, all of the other dogs were quite enthusiastic and seemed to be having the time of their lives!

The team hopes to bring awareness to the plight of these shelter dogs and get people to go down to the shelter to adopt!

Take a look at the adorable video below, and keep your eye out for Fred! He’s taking up the rear so be sure to watch the entire video!
