Washington D.C. is a popular tourist destination, especially since the International Spy museum opened up back in 2002. This interesting museum is dedicated to all things espionage. If it has to do with secret recording devices or hidden cameras, you’ll probably find it at this museum.
According to their website, the museum’s mission statement is to “educate the public about espionage and intelligence in an engaging way and to provide a context that fosters understanding of its important role in and impact on current and historic events. The Museum focuses on human intelligence and reveals the role spies have played in world events throughout history. It is committed to the apolitical presentation of the history of espionage in order to provide visitors with nonbiased, accurate information.”
At the museum, there are many interactive exhibits for viewers to experience. In the video below, a grandmother was in for something unexpected. As she enters the room she says, “Are you trying to scare me?” She had no idea what was about to happen.
