Going back to stories of Icarus and his wax wings, the thought of being able to flying among the birds has never ceased to inspire. Even the Wright brothers, who pioneered human flight, took influence from actual bird wings.

Alexis Noriega has started to make a name for herself making winged costumes out of real bird feathers. Many of her creations are available on her Etsy store The Crooked Feather and she is also open to taking comissioned work. As you can see in this video, her creations can be incredibly elaborate.
