Music Legend Couldn’t Speak After Stroke… 3 Years Later, Does THIS In Front Of THOUSANDS

Randy Travis was and is an important man in the world of country music. He is also setting a wonderful example in regard to life in general.

He was the toast of the town in the mid-eighties. His arrival on the scene went as well as anyone could hope.

His golden, baritone voice created a following many artists could only dream about.

Songs such as “Forever and Ever, Amen” dominated the charts and the awards. He was certainly living the dream.

Since the mid-80s, Travis has sold over 25 million records, had 22 No. 1 hits, six No. 1 albums, six Grammy Awards, 10 AMA Awards, six CMA Awards, nine ACM Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Recently, Travis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

However, the road for the singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor would become very bumpy. Travis would fall from grace in a hard way.

In 2010 his 19-year marriage ended in divorce. And 2012 saw many legal issues and arrests.

He was arrested for DUI and terroristic threats against a police officer. Other acts of irrational behavior embarrassed the talented star in a sad way.

It all came to a head in 2013 when he was admitted to the hospital with a critical viral infection. He suffered a massive stroke three days later and brain surgery was performed.

The star performer was partially paralyzed, unable to speak full sentences and definitely unable to sing. He faced a long, difficult rehabilitation.

But come back he did! During October’s Country Music Hall Of Fame Induction, he wowed them all and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

After tributes from Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, and Alan Jackson, Travis’s new wife Mary Davis-Travis led Randy to the podium. With great emotion, she spoke of his accomplishments, hard work, and the battle back.

Then Randy took the microphone. A miracle rendition of “Amazing Grace” was about to be delivered.
