Mom Terrified Son Will Be Bullied At First Day Of School. At 7 AM, Biker Gang Shows Up At Front Door…

Sean Maehrer is officially the coolest kid in school, thanks to a group of motorcyclists who gave him a grand escort on the first day of school. Worried the teenager with Down syndrome might be bullied at his new high school, Sean’s family took to social media to see if they could find a proactive solution for their fears.

Word spread to local motorcycle clubs near Allentown, PA, who quickly organized a group ride to Sean’s high school. Bright and early, the bikers arrived at Sean’s house, ready to escort the teenager to his freshman year.

The bikers wanted Sean, and the student body, to know that Sean had a whole team of friends supporting him. They gifted him with a customized helmet, bearing purple flames and the handwritten signature of each rider.

The riders, who typically volunteer their time with veterans, committed to much more than just a one-time escort, as they stayed in contact with Sean throughout the school year, showing up at soccer games to cheer him on, offering support and friendship. Sean’s parents were overwhelmed with gratitude by the love and kindness shown for their son.

While high school can be daunting for anyone, it seems safe to say that Sean will look back fondly on his first day of high school. While bikers sometimes have a bad reputation, this group has shown the heart and spirit of what many riding groups set out to do: volunteer, help the community, and enjoy a good ride.

“LOVE the charitable heart of the motorcycle community!” exclaimed one happy viewer on YouTube. Do you agree that this group of adults went above and beyond for this boy and his family?
