Man Hands Her Bag Of Candy On Plane. But Then She Notices A Note Attached On Bag…

One innovative father took matters into his own hands to save Halloween for his 3-year-old daughter, and is subsequently being hailed as the best dad ever. The story began when the man’s daughter, Molly, realized she would miss trick-or-treating due to a lengthy flight from Boston to San Francisco.

Twitter user Stephanie Kahan was on the flight when she realized what extraordinary measures the father was taking to give Molly her own special Halloween to remember. Molly’s father, who wishes to remain anonymous, passed out candy to his fellow passengers along with a note inviting them to help Molly trick-or-treat.

“He started handing out the treats… He handed them out mostly to folks in the aisle and middle seats,” Kahan said in an interview.

“When I first got on the plane, I overheard the little girl talking about how she was excited to trick or treat,” Kahan recalled. “I felt sad because I was thinking about how when we landed in San Francisco it would be way too late to trick or treat.”

Good thing dad had everything all planned out. He passed out candies with little notes taped to them.

“My 3-year-old daughter, Molly, was bummed that she wouldn’t be able to go trick-or-treating this year due to this flight… so I decided to bring trick-or-treating to her. If you are willing, when my little donut comes down the aisle, please drop this in her basket. You’ll be making her Halloween! If you’re unwilling, no worries, just pass the treat back to me. Thanks so much!”

According to Kahan, passengers were happy to oblige, delighted at the adorable donut-clad child happily trick-or-treating on the plane. Kahan took a couple photos, posted them on Twitter, and was astounded at how quickly her post went viral.

When Kahan asked the father if he wanted to be mentioned by name, he politely declined. “I mentioned it to the dad that I had tweeted and had 5,000 retweets,” Kahan reported. “He was shocked and couldn’t believe it.”

“I could tell he was pretty humbled hearing that what he did caused such a positive reaction. He obviously wasn’t doing it for the reaction he just was genuinely doing it for his daughter.”

Thanks to a creative and thoughtful dad, this little girl got the Halloween she thought she was going to miss. Not many kids can boast of trick-or-treating on a plane!
