Her Legs Were So Deformed, Vets Thought She Should Be Euthanized. But She Proved Everyone Wrong.

A Cocker Spaniel puppy, named Wanda, was born with such critically deformed front legs that vets thought the bone damage was too bad to fix. Because of this, they thought it would be best to euthanize her. That’s when Kerri Eilertsen-Feeney and Eileen Mellis, founders of Cinque Ports Rescue, stepped in to help. One week later, they brought the four-month-old pup in for surgery where a specialist orthopedic vet rotated her ulna bones by 180 degrees and fixed them into place with pins. This surgery was life-changing, and now she’s able to walk (and run!) on her own for the first time! Wanda’s story is a true testament as to why you should never give up!
