Before He Goes Off To College, Mom Gives Him HILARIOUS Present For Dorm Room. I’m Dying Laughing!!

A mother bid farewell to her college-bound son with the most thoughtful gift possible. After her son posted about the gift on Twitter, the story went viral, sending 19-year-old Jake Ostrowski away to Texas Tech University with a bit of new found fame.

As he prepared for the new journey ahead, Ostrowski admitted he would miss a few comforts from home, specifically, his loyal dog, Jesse. Mom knew how to remedy the situation, gifting her son with a life-sized cardboard cutout of his golden retriever.

Obviously, Ostrowski’s first order of business was to find the perfect place in his dorm room to display his cardboard pal. Proud mom, Sharla Ostrowski, shared a photo of Jesse hanging right above her son’s new bed, able to guard him day and night. The internet is falling in love with the thoughtful idea, realizing that Shala has found the perfect college sendoff gift. “I need this for all 7 of my dogs,” exclaimed one Twitter user.

Meanwhile, Jesse the golden retriever is enjoying his newfound fame. While he likely misses his longtime friend, he still has the time to send a little photo love.

Ostrowski spoke with media about the bond between him and Jesse. “I love my dog — he sleeps with me every night,” the Houston teenager said. “I’ve been really sad because I’ve got to leave him to go to college.”

“It can be kind of scary going off to college,” Ostrowski added. “But now I’ve got my dog in my dorm with me.” We have a feeling that both dog and college freshman are going to have an amazing year.

If you’re grateful for the companionship furry friends provide, be sure to share this with friends and family on Facebook!
