Her Disabled Son Is MOCKED By Strangers. Waiter Overhears, Asks Question That Leaves Mom STUNNED.

Everyone is faced with deciding to do what is beneficial for ourselves and deciding to do what’s right for the common good. When it comes to the business world, it can be especially tough to choose justice over money.

That’s exactly what one waiter at Laurenzo’s Prime Rib restaurant in Houston, Texas did when he was placed in a heartbreaking situation between two regularly attending families. Kim Castillo brings her special needs son, Milo, frequently to the restaurant, so it’s helpful to have a staff that is familiar with him and the whole family.

One particular experience was so terrible for Castillo and Milo that you would think they’d never want to return! Thankfully, the timely response of the waiter redeemed this situation. Below is a photo of the waiter, Michael Garcia, and Milo.

Another regular attending family asked to be moved to a table not so close to the Castillo family. It didn’t stop there.

They told their waiter that “special needs kids should be kept in special places.” Of course, that phrase broke Castillo’s heart as a mother.

Garcia, the waiter, was heartbroken, too. He refused to serve the family who made the demeaning statement and escorted them out of the restaurant, but not without a few words first.

Garcia asked the man who made the rude comments, “How could you say that? How could you say that about a beautiful 5-year-old angel?”

Castillo shared:

I was impressed that somebody would step out of their own comfort level and put their job on the line as well as to stand up for somebody else. I know Michael [Garcia] did it from his heart, and from reacting to the situation. I don’t think he stopped and thought about what he was doing.

Fortunately, Garcia received nothing but applause from the other restaurant staff for kicking out the paying customers. People in his community are even calling him a hero for his bold action in standing up for Milo!
