Aldi Just Made 2 HUGE Announcements That Will Have Fans Going Bonkers!

Conversations surrounding topics about the pesticides, GMOs and hormones in our food easily become overwhelming. The incredible amount of accessible information regarding the toxic chemicals in food can make it difficult to decipher what really matters. We previously made a list of 10 things you had no idea were true about ALDI, but now we have two more facts to add that could make a significant difference to our daily lives as consumers!

The discount grocery store, ALDI, made two exciting announcements that will make customers’ lives a little easier when it comes to picking out healthy food options for their families. Considering ALDI is best known for its great deals and low prices, we find it amazing that they are also able to take such significant strides toward offering healthier options. In fact, a recent price survey revealed that Wal-Mart’s prices are 30% higher than ALDI’s prices.

The first big announcement is that stores will soon be stocked with almost exclusively organic products while also banning many pesticides and toxic chemicals. Do you remember or take the time to look to see if chemicals such as Thiamethoxam, Chlorpyrifos, Clothianidin, Cypermethrin, Deltamethrin, Fipronil, Imidacloprid, Sulfoxaflor and other pesticides are in each product you buy? I certainly don’t, but now that ALDI is banning these chemicals, it will make grocery shopping for healthy products that much easier.

The second big announcement is that ALDI will be closely analyzing the distributors from which they purchase meat and fish. This means fresh meat and fish will be available in stores with a quality level you would not expect at a discount grocery store.

The CEO of ALDI, Jason Hart, made a recent statement:

At ALDI, we are dedicated to the well-being of our customers by providing high quality groceries at the lowest possible prices and offering foods shoppers can feel good about serving their families. Our decision to remove these ingredients from all of our exclusive brand foods delivers on our ongoing commitment to meet the evolving preferences of our customers. Since more than 90 percent of the products we sell are under our exclusive brands, eliminating these ingredients will have a real impact on the over 30 million people who shop in our stores.

Junk food is usually thought to be cheaper while healthy food is more expensive. ALDI is changing that current trend, and hopefully, these changes will set a higher standard for the industry! Share this post with your family and friends to let them in on this exciting news!
