Unbelievable Kinetic Sculptures of Theo Jansen

Imagine you go for a walk on the beech and suddenly these… ‘things’… walk by you? It may look like a monstrosity but they are actually pieces of art that come alive!

These ‘things’ are called Strandbeest’s and are the brain child of Dutch artist Theo Jansen. Theo has been making these beach creatures since 1990. The Strandbeest’s are made from piping, wood and sails that trap the wind to move on their own!
