This Adorable Christmas Clip Is The Only Thing You Need To See This Year.

John Lewis is a British retail company that’s known for its incredibly touching series of Christmas ads. Every year around this time, they release their annual advertisement, which has become quite famous over the years for being a real tear-jerker. This year’s edition isn’t exactly sad, but it’s still striking a chord with viewers everywhere.

The ad has got a lot of people laughing, but as it is every year, this year’s edition is also aimed at raising money for a very serious cause. John Lewis chooses a different worthy cause to donate to each year, and this year, it was The Wildlife Trusts, referenced in the story of Buster the boxer.

Buster’s human sister, Bridget, has been given a trampoline for Christmas. The night before Christmas, a group of wild animals – a badger, a squirrel, two foxes, and a hedgehog – start enjoying the trampoline for themselves as poor Buster can only watch from the window.

While the moral element may not be as present this year as it was in previous years’ ads like Man on the moon, John Lewis hopes this slightly humorous approach will still help draw attention and support for British wildlife (as represented by these adorable characters).

Each year we work with a charity which fits our ad, and we hope this year’s campaign will encourage more children to discover a love of British wildlife and encourage support of the Wildlife Trusts, said Craig Inglis, a customer director at John Lewis.

The Wildlife Trust will receive 10% of sales of plush toy versions of the animals seen in the ad, which are already available for sale in retail stores and online. A range of merchandise such as Buster the boxer Christmas ornaments, pajamas, and slippers, will also be on sale for roughly $6.50 and upwards.

The Wildlife Trusts believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the joy of wildlife and wild places in their daily lives, so John Lewis putting some of our most beautiful British wild animals at the center of their Christmas advert and making The Wildlife Trusts their charity of choice this Christmas is great news, said Stephanie Hilborne, Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts. With this support, we will be able to inspire thousands more children about the wonders of the natural world.
