They Were Thrown From A Van And Left To Die. Now, They’re Learning To Trust Humans Again.
Witnesses saw the whole thing. The license plates were covered, so the vehicle or the two men responsible havent been found. The men were seen throwing two young dogs out of a moving van in the parking lot of the Universidad de Castilla-La Manchas Ciudad Real campus in Spain. The dogs, Raiz and Tierra, were both dehydrated, severely malnourished. The dogs are so thin you can see their bones through their skin. They had multiple infections and scabies and were taken to an animal rescue group called Protectora La Bienvenida located in Ciudad Real. The agency is located 125 miles south of Madrid. The name Raiz means Root and Tierra is Earth. It is believed that the two dogs had not been exposed to much light, which is why their skin is so pink.
