We all know how scientists are endlessly curious about how the human body works. They will test anything at least once. Or twice. Or a dozen times.

Like human sexual functions, for instance. Sex is known to lower blood pressure, boost the immune system, and reduce the risks for heart attack.

These benefits are among the reasons scientists continue to explore this human function on a regular basis. In one experiment, they took 4D ultrasound images and an MRI recording of two people having sex to better understand the birds and the bees.
