Here’s What Happens To Your Body If You Only Drink Coke For A Month

Sound amazing? It’s not, apparently.

The flavour was released as an exclusive series specifically created for certain countries, which featured Black Cherry (US), Vanilla (UK, Canada and the US), Orange (UK, Latvia, Russia), and Green Tea (Japan) – and Ginger in Australia.

I was so hyped up to try Coke ginger and it is a FAILURE. Give me ginger beer over this garbage.

But with the complaints comes the revelation that too many people are turning to Coke as a staple part of their diets. Sure, it tastes great (other than Coke Ginger, apparently) but what happens to people who drink it regularly?

One guy sought to find that out – by drinking only Coke for one month.

George Prior, from LA, decided to drink 10 cans of Coke a day for one month to see what effect the sugar would have on his body.

Before his experiment, the 52-year-old was fit and followed the Paleo diet which focuses on lean meats, vegetables and berries, Indy100 reports.

So for 30 days, he documented his journey on his website 10 Cokes A Day. His results? A weight gain of 23 pounds – or 1.6 stone – and a body fat increase of 65 per cent (from a starting 9 per cent to a finishing 16 per cent).

He also complained of a developing a craving for Coke and other sugars during the experiment.

He said in his video:

I’m urging people to examine the amount of sugar in their diets. People need to be aware of the real and powerful damaging effects of sugar on their health.

Kids shouldn’t drink Cokes. But then kids shouldn’t drink juices, either, and that’s going to be a very hard sell to parents who believe that juice is ‘natural’ or even ‘organic’. It’s sugar, and not only do kids not need it, it’s bad for them.

Think I’ll be sticking to water.
