The bridge was designed by Rafel Vinoly, coming in at a total cost of about $11 million.
So then why a circular bridge? The reason is quite simple, actually. There are two main concepts behind the bridges design, speed and view.
By creating a circular flow of traffic, it causes drivers to slow down, which creates further safety on the bridge. Along with reduced speed, the circular path allows for drivers to get a great panoramic view of the landscape.
