Usually when children lie to their parents about where they’re going, it means they have plans that their parents would not approve and are probably up to no good. Craig Colton, 22 years old, stood on stage at an X Factor audition, and admitted in front of the entire audience and judges that he had lied to his parents that same day about where he was.

The audience and judges loved the humorous story behind his lie, but then the mood in the room totally changed when he opened his mouth to sing!

Colton actually gave his parents tickets to the X Factor audition, but pretended that he had to work so he could not join them. He even had his mother iron his work uniform to make his lie more believable.
