This footage of an Australian spider carrying a mouse up the wall will make your skin crawl

Australia certainly isn’t a place for the faint of heart. Between the viral videos of deadly snakes and unusually strong giant spiders, the Australian wildlife continues to prove its ferocity.

Hermie the huntsman spider was captured on film by Jason Womal. Hermie was seen carrying a mouse, which it probably intended to devour, up a wall.

“What’s he gonna do with him?” asked Womal.

The footage quickly circulated online and had been viewed more than 6.5 million times by Monday afternoon. In a later post, Wormal assured his Facebook friends that the spider is alive and well.

“Ok guys so just letting you all know that the spider is fine. We have named him Hermie, we have adopted him and he is now running his own extermination business out of our town Coppabella. Oh and he is now paying rent. Lol,” he wrote.
