When they tested this 50 megaton bomb the shock wave from the explosion traveled around the earth 3 times and created a fireball 8 km in diameter. The flash from the explosion, and the heat generated, were seen and felt up to 270 km away. The explosion also broke windows as far as 900 km away, making it the biggest man made explosion in human history.
