13-Year-Old Carrie Underwood Stuns With Rare Recording Of Timeless Classic.

Since we met Carrie Underwood in the fourth season of American Idol, she has won over everyone’s heart.

She has become a country superstar and a very in-demand artist. We don’t see or hear much of her musical life before she appeared on the famed singing competition show, and when we do, it’s like a diamond in the rough!

A video recently surfaced of 14-year-old Carrie singing Martina McBride’s Broken Wing in a talent competition. Today, we’ve come across a rare recording of her singing the timeless hit, Unchained Melody.

She has a maturity in her voice at such a young age and her tone is flawless! The song, which is about someone pining for their loved, is an incredibly hard song to sing, and Carrie does it so well!

Unchained Melody was written in 1955 by Alex North and Hy Zaret for a little-known prison movie called Unchained. Since then, it’s become one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century. There are over 500 versions in hundreds of different languages.
